A love of good food is the foundation of The Almanack. We will only ever serve you food we'd be happy to be served ourselves, which is why all our chicken & eggs are free-range. Even our ice-cream. So is our pork. Our steak is dry-aged Aberdeenshire beef and our fish comes from sustainable sources on our shores. We avoid air-freighting fruit & vegetables by buying seasonal British produce wherever possible. Our cheese come from artisan producers and are properly aged. Sourcing the best quality fresh ingredients from ethical producers costs us more, but we know that if we can trust our suppliers, then you can trust us.
Head Chef Jakub leads the kitchen team with 17 years of experience in his trade. He and his team are commited to using our fantastic produce to give you a great plate of food whatever the ocassion.
The pans are sizzling from 8AM every day where an innovative breakfast menu including American Style Pancakes with Maple Syrup, Greek Syle Yoghurt with Fruit & Granola & great breakfast muffins with Free-range Sausages, Bacon & Eggs are all on offer. Buy a hot drink and you can help yourself to the Toast, Homemade Marmalade & Jam from the bar.
Lunch & dinner our menu will always have British Pub Classics like Free-range Sausages, Mash & Onion Gravy & great Aberdeenshire Steak & Chips. Around this our chefs create seasonal dishes for a light lunch like our Stuffed Herb Pancakes through to a special dinner like 20oz Cote de Beouf for 2 to Share.

We serve food all day every day and do great snacky sharing Deli Boards if you are just popping in for a glass of wine or a beer. Our Kids menu is available all day and offers Healthy, REAL food.
